It started with a simple observation.
Our catnip is grown on our family’s farm in Gaoshu Township, Taiwan — the same farm where our family grew up. For us, the farm has always been more than a place to grow plants. It is part of our family and our story.
One day, while harvesting catnip, Sunny, our designer, noticed something interesting. Her cats were happily enjoying the fresh catnip, but they seemed to have a preference: they picked out and ate the leaves, leaving the stems behind.
That little observation made us think differently about how we harvest our catnip.
Taiwan has a long tradition of handpicking tea leaves, carefully selecting the best leaves rather than harvesting everything together. Inspired by this tradition, we began applying the same idea to our catnip, carefully handpicking the leaves and selecting them one by one.
It takes more time and more hands, but we believe the little things matter.
Today, handpicking remains an important part of our process. From our family farm in Taiwan to the toys we make for cats around the world, we continue to choose quality the way we always have, with care, patience, and a little help from the cats themselves.
Grown by us. Handpicked with care. Loved by cats.
