A family story, grown from nature.
CATWANT began in 1998 with our family’s farm in Gaoshu Township, Taiwan. It was the place where we grew up, played as children, and developed a deep connection with nature.
It all started when our founder, Lawrence, was inspired by catnip and began growing it on our family farm. What started as a small family project gradually grew into CATWANT.
As the brand evolved, Sunny brought her creativity and passion for design, turning our natural ingredients into unique, handmade toys inspired by cats’ natural instincts. Along the way, we discovered silvervine and its incredible appeal to cats, which soon became an important part of what makes CATWANT unique.
Today, our family is still at the heart of CATWANT, from the farm where our catnip is grown, to the people who design and handcraft our toys.
And in 2024, we brought CATWANT to Canada, opening our North American office and warehouse in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
From our childhood playground in Taiwan to cats across North America, this is a family story we’re proud to share.
